New Mexico voters will weigh in on some key contests today. Here’s what to know if you’re heading to the polls.
How to vote
The deadline to apply for absentee ballots was on Thursday. You can track the status of your ballot on this site. Not sure if you’re registered to vote? That same site will tell you if you are. The deadline to register for voting in person on Election Day was Saturday.
Where to vote
To find a polling place near you, enter your full name, date of birth and county into this site. Ballots must be returned to the county clerk, or your voting precinct, by 7 p.m. local time on Election Day (which is also when polls close) to be counted.
What’s on the ballot
Republicans will vote on candidates for governor and lieutenant governor. (Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Lt. Gov. Howie Morales, both Democrats, do not face challenges for their party’s nomination.) Democrats will pick candidates for attorney general, state treasurer and auditor.
