Ed Davey casts vote in general election: ‘Lovely day isn’t it?’

Sir Ed Davey and his wife, Emily, visited a polling station in Surbiton on Thursday 4 July to vote in the general election.

The Liberal Democrat leader said “It’s a beautiful day, I hope lots of people come out to vote” after casting his ballot.

Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer were also spotted at polling stations on Thursday morning as they vie to win the election after weeks of campaigning.

Opinion polls suggest Labour is on course to secure a big majority in the House of Commons and form a new government.
